Last week, for the second year in a row, BioMar and Benchmark gathered customers for a freshwater seminar at the beautiful Hardangerfjord Hotell. The event featured presentations on relevant areas such as feed, genetics, research, and production – all designed to facilitate the sharing and exchange of best practices for salmon production in freshwater.

Erik Burgerhout from Nofima shared insights from the FHF project SalmoCode, along with recent findings on early life stages in salmon embryo development.

Additionally, smolt producers such as Ænes Inkubator and Hardingsmolt contributed by sharing the latest updates from their RAS facilities and their experiences with technical and biological parameters in their production processes.

Kristian Tuff Carlsen from BioMar gave a presentation about the role of feeding in salmon production as one of the most successful factors, and Julie Elise Trovaag, Customer Advisor Land-Based at BioMar, explained what salmon feed is made of.
